Qualifications: 

-Must have high school diploma or equivalent

-Must have 4+ years of professional, related experience including leadership experience

-Title industry experience required

The Regional Director should be a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, detail-, outcome- and process- minded leader with experience in driving an organization to success. Must have a track record of building businesses and both leading and motivating senior teams in relation to programs, management and revenue generation. Regional Directors are responsible for implementing, with continuous improvement, a performance based, customer-centric management culture with a large, geographically disbursed and strong staff team. 

The Regional Director is responsible for managing Settlement Office operations and staff by fostering a collaborative group dynamic to drive growth and development.

The Regional Director is the company.  It is the responsibility of the Regional Director to provide the highest quality of corporate leadership that makes Title Alliance a great company to work with as a client and as a co-worker.  The Regional Director must provide the vision, the character, and the leadership to assure that each Joint Venture Manager, each Closing Officer, and each employee of the company within their assigned Region, is a credit to the men and women that have gone before, and that the company realizes the profitability necessary to continue to provide its Employee-Owners with the fair and reasonable ownership value to which they are entitled.

The Regional Director reports directly to the Director of Operations, collaborates with our Board of Directors and is part of the Title Alliance Management Team that provides strategic leadership and strategic direction for the whole organization. 


Summary of duties:

  • Searches for business opportunities for Joint Venture operations and for future Joint Ventures.
  • Keeps CEO abreast of status of all operations through weekly reports
  • Stays aware of industry developments that affect the title insurance operations and communicates same through staff meetings with direct reports.
  • Ensures that all operations are in compliance with regulatory issues
  • Provides reporting to the Board of Directors on status and action being taken in assigned Settlement Offices, as required.
  • Develops operating procedures on an ongoing basis for new processes for CEO review and approval as well as Training Manager and Director of Business Development.
  • Measures monthly operating results for each assigned operation to the final budget provided by the CFO, reporting variances to the CEO with a corrective Plan of Action.
  • Meets with Joint Venture partners regularly to review financial results and any operational issues,
  • Develops, mentors and trains assigned Settlement Office Managers and staffs in all aspects of the business and on company policies and procedures with the help of the Training Department.

Qualifications:
-Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
-Must have 4+ years of professional, similar experience including leadership experience
-Title industry experience is required
-Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and processes
-Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing and implementing strategies for excellence and collaborating with the senior management team and board of directors
-Demonstrated capacity in developing staff (both seasoned and new), operating a profitable model (operations improvement, team development, etc.), and performance based management
-Strong presentation skills

 The Closing Manager manages assigned Settlement Office operations and staff and is responsible for pre-closing, coordinating with lenders, conducting the closing, issuing title policies, preparation and recording of documents and make appropriate disbursements associated with the settlement process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

·         Review and clear title; identify underwriting concerns; prepare the Closing Disclosure, ALTA Settlement Statement and HUD-1 when applicable; order bring downs and tax certifications; obtain conveyancing; prepare daily deposits; process incoming and outgoing recordings and letters of indemnity

·         Make bank deposits and disburse funds in accordance with the signed ALTA Settlement Statement

·         Order all inspections, surveys, payoff statements, hazard insurance. Prepare settlement statement and closing packages. Close loans, fund loans and make bank deposits.

·         Searches for business opportunities for their Joint Venture operation 

·         Communicates frequently with Regional Director regarding status of all operations

·         Maintains knowledge and seeks out industry developments that affect the title insurance operations and communicates information to team

·         Ensures that their operation is in compliance with regulatory issues (for PA – special charges for DOl, AfBA Disclosures for Joint Venture offices, etc.)

·         Develops operating procedures on an ongoing basis for new processes for Managing Partner’s review and approval
